COP LOG: Police Investigate Thefts From Autos
A snapshot of Amherst Police activity Aug. 14 and 15. An arrest does not indicate a conviction

2:45 a.m.: Amherst Police Department detained a juvenile on a charge of taking without owner’s consent. Court action is anticipated.
6:56 a.m.: Responded to a single-vehicle accident on Seaverns Bridge Road. Driver was Patrick Meehan, 26, of Milford. Meehan was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
7:59 a.m.: Responded to a two-car accident on the Route 101 eastbound off ramp to Route 101A. No injuries were reported. Drivers were Phillip Paul Gent, 39, of Greenfield, Mass., and Keith Matthews, 51, of Peterborough.

No time given: Investigated a reported theft from a motor vehicle at the Ponemah Bog.
5:20 p.m.: Arrested Christine E. Iodice, 18, of 304 Old County Road, Mason, on a charge of theft. Iodice was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 19, at Milford's district court.

5:20 p.m.: Arrested Jacqueline Geoffrey, 24, of 8 High St., Antrim, on a charge of theft. Geoffrey was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 19, at Milford's district court.

No time given: Investigated a reported theft from a motor vehicle at Walmart Superstore.
1:50 p.m.: Arrested Fallon S. Peno, 27, of 72 Chestnut St., No. 3, Nashua, on a charge of willful concealment. Peno was released on a summons to appear in the Milford District Court on Sept. 19.
3:45 p.m.: Arrested Dennis Martineau, 52, of 46 Orchard St., Dracut, Mass., on charges of possession of a controlled drug and transportation of a controlled drug. Martineau was released on $800 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for Sept. 12, at Milford's district court.
4:17 p.m.: Responded to a two-car accident on Route 101A. No injuries were reported. Drivers were Joaquin Mendoza, 32, of Nashua, and Russell Caminiti, 59, of Hudson.
9:10 p.m.: Arrested Sandie Ann Young, 36, of 23 Mack Hill Road, Amherst, on an electronic bench warrant issued by the Milford District Court. Young was released on $1,000 personal bail, with an arraignment date set for Aug. 20, at Milford's district court.
11:30 p.m.: Arrested James Karos, 45, of 23 Majestic Ave., Nashua, on a warrant for violation of a court order issued by Milford district and Nashua district courts. Karos was released on $450 cash bail, with a court date for each court.
