Light Snow Could Make for Slippery Morning Commute
Milford Indoor Farmers Market this Saturday; Transfer Station still accepting Christmas trees for disposal.

Light snow for morning commute: There is some light snow in the forecast for the Friday morning commute where the Amherst area could see up to an inch so take it slow.
Need to get rid of your Christmas tree: The town's Transfer Station will continue to accept Christmas trees in the brush pile free of charge for residents who need a place to dispose of their trees.
Library to hold Civil War exhibit: The Amherst Public Library will hold the program "Vanished Veterans: New Hampshire's Civil War Monuments and Memorials," on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.
Winter Carnival set: The Amherst Board of Selectmen recently voted to hold the town's Winter Carnival on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Middle Road.
Indoor farmers market. The Indoor Milford Farmers Market is up and running for the winter and spring and will be open twice a month until late April.
