The New Hampshire Liquor Commission is scheduled to take up Chiang Mai Thai's request on Wednesday to create an outdoor patio for up to 20 patrons.

A local Asian restaurant hopes to gain New Hampshire Liquor Commission approval to add an outdoor seating area later this year.

According to the agenda posted on the state agency's web site, the Chiang Mai Thai restaurant on Route 101A wants to create an outdoor patio with seating for 20 people.

According to the restaurant's request, the owners also want to have their liquor license extended to the proposed outdoor patio area so they can serve beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages.
