The two men were on their way to a fishing trip before the collision Saturday morning.

Update:

The Milford Recreation Department has expressed their sadness on Facebook over the loss of one of their volunteers.

Just about every day I hear someone glowing over the sense of community in Milford. We are fortunate to live in such a great town. One thing that stands out in Milford is the tremendous amount of volunteerism, which enriches all of our lives. This past weekend the town of Milford lost a person who embodied the very spirit of volunteerism. Rob Carson Jr. served as coordinator of the adult coed softball league for over a decade. He did everything from creating the playing schedule to chalking the field lines each Sunday morning. Thank you Rob for helping to make Milford such a great place. The recreation department and commission extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to Rob’s family and friends in their time of grieving. We also extend our sympathy to Keith Bernasconi’s family and friends.
