Souhegan and Goffstown Play Eight Inning Contest

The Souhegan Sabers traveled to play at Goffstown.

The two team battled for 8 innings before the Goffstown Grizzles came away with a 3 to 2 victory.

Senior, lefty Connor Cinque pitched seven strong innings for the Sabers scattering five hits, while walking six and striking out six.

Tyrell Torres pitched the eighth inning and allowed one unearned run.

Shortstop Tyrell Torres led the Sabers on defense. Down 2 to 0, the Sabers tied the game in the 6th inning.

Andrew MacDonald started the rally by reaching first base on an infield error.  Connor Cinque long rbi double to left center scored Andrew MacDonald and Michel Ehrenstein tied the score at 2 to 2 with an two out rbi double.
