Souhegan Chamber Hosting Auction to Benefit Veterans

5 Things You Need to Know Today:

1. A great benefit. The Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Veterans FIRST Auction on Saturday, April 13 at Alpine Grove in Hollis. The fundraiser will benefit Veterans FIRST, which began in 2004 as a program designed to help homeless veterans move on to independent living. The auction begins at 6 p.m. with the full course dinner served at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased online.

2. Healing power. Author Peggy Huddleston will lead a free Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster Workshop from 7-8:30pm, Friday, April 19 at Nia NH and Yoga, 110 Route 101A, Amherst. She will show you how to reduce anxiety, use 23-50% less pain medication and heal faster.
