Souhegan Loses at Con-Val

The final score was 5-2.

The Souhegan Sabers play at Con-Val and came home with a 5 to 2 loss. Seth Learned was the Souhegan starting pitcher.

He threw 5 and 2/3 innings well pitched innings - allowed 5 hits, struck out 3, walked 4 and allowed two earned run.

Souhegan defense was led by the play of shortstop Thomas Bennett. In the top of the first, Andrew MacDonald hit a long triple to center field and scored on  an rbi single off the bat of Seth Learned to take a 1-0 lead.  Seth ended the game 2 for 3 and a walk. 

The Sabers rallied in the fourth with singles from Seth Learned and Cameron Crook (2 for 3) and a two out walk to Chandler MacKenzie but the rally ended.

In the seventh Thomas Bennett reached on a Con-Val error, a two out double by Connor Cinque put runners on second and third and Seth Learned walked to load the bases before Con-Val shut down the Sabers rally.
