Sabres schedule. As school resumes today after what was hopefully a restful long weekend, so does the sports schedule. On tap for today is:

Free movies. Have you checked out the Amherst Town Library's link to a collection of more than 1,000 free documentaries? The library was awarded a year free access to Filmakers Library Online, and these videos can be streamed to your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Take advantage of this unique service while it lasts and give your feedback to the library on it.
Give blood. There is a blood drive scheduled for St. John Neumann Church, 708 Milford Road, Merrimack, today, Sept. 3, from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Stop by and give blood and enjoy breakfast and pizza from The Pizza Kitchen. All donors will also receive an American Red Cross tote bag.
Weather watch. Some more rain appears to be on the way today, so make sure you bring your umbrella with you when you go out. According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly before noon. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81. Tonight, partly cloudy, with a low around 57.
