Bedford Positively released a statement yesterday that read, in part:

Due to the winds, this can not be deemed a safe event to be held.  While some of our donors will still make a contribution to the ARL, we hope that we will be able to come back with something productive within the next year to help.

You may not understand just how sincere the efforts of our crew have been in trying to pull this together.  It is hoped that you will still be able to appreciate the efforts of the ARL and perhaps think of them in some of your contributions as the year goes along – blankets, towels, cat food, cat litter, dog food, etc.  They are always willing to accept in-kind or cash donations with much enthusiasm and appreciation.

We will be getting back to you with more of our normal notes within a few days.  In the meanwhile, please be careful – and check on your neighbors who might be alone and need a hand.
