5 Things: Let it Snow
Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas. Now here comes the snow.

1. Heavy snow on the way. Weather.com projects a sunny day with a high of 36 degrees and a 0-percent chance of precipitation. The weather changes drastically tonight, however, as heavy snow to winter mix conditions are expected to begin around 7 p.m. and continue through Thursday morning. Snow is likely to accumulate up to 10- to 14-inches. For more information, click here.
2. Winter parking ban. Don't forget, through April 1, Bedford has a parking ban on all public highways between midnight and 8 a.m., and at any other time that a motor vehicle may impede snow removal operations. Any person violating the parking ban is subject to a penalty not to exceed $50 for each offense, and any vehicle parked in violation may be authorized to be towed by the Bedford Director of Public Works or by assigned agents and/or independent contractors engaged by the Director of Public Works or Chief of Police. Any vehicles towed will be stored and released to the owner only upon payment of the cost of towing as established by the Town Council. 3. Winter vacation. No, this vacation doesn't involve the Griswolds (though National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is one of may favorite holiday classics!), rather, just a quick reminder that Bedford schools are closed through New Year's Day. Students head back to class on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

4. No NHL? No problem. The Bedford PTG has scheduled a family outing at a Manchester Monarchs game on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m., where the Monarchs will be playing the Providence Bruins. This is a great opportunity to help our schools while enjoying an exciting sporting event with your entire family! Tickets are just $15 so please join us to cheer on the home team! All orders are due by Monday, Jan. 7. For more information, including a ticket order form, click here.
