5 Things: November Warmup
Here's 5 things you need to know heading into what looks to be a beautiful November weekend.

1. Meetinghouse Road Closure. The intersection of Meetinghouse Road and Gault Road will be closed to all traffic beginning today and running through Saturday, Nov. 17 (see attached PDF for detour information). Paving is also taking place on Donald Street and several other local roads and streets this week and next. For more details, click here.
2. New Facebook cover photo. Well, most of you were lame and refused to contribute your "first snowfall of the year" photos despite multiple callouts yesterday. But Joe Proux was kind enough to provide two pics. Now, for the second month in a row, our new Facebook cover photo was provided by Joe Proux, whose Bedford-based company builds backyard hockey rinks. Check out Joe's photo, and our Facebook page here.
3. Closed for Veteran's Day. According to the Bedford town website, the Bedford Town Offices and Public Library will be closed this Monday, Nov. 12.

4. The weatherman says ... Last week a hurricane, yesterday a nor'easter, but today you can expect sunny skies with a high of 49 degrees and a zero-percent chance of rain. According to Weather.com, the warming trend continues through Monday, Veteran's Day, as temperatures are expected to increase to the high 60s for the holiday.
5. Local non-profit collecting hygiene kits for Sandy victims. In the past decade, the Bedford family foundation, Color My World has donated over $33,000 in goods to families affected by the Indonesian Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, Kate Earthquakes in Haiti, China, Chile and aid for Africa. Color My World has also distributed over $2,000 locally to projects and families in need in New Hampshire supporting Angie's Shelter and New Horizons in Manchester. Currently the foundation is shipping hygiene kits to help people affected by Sandy. Color My World is accepting part or complete Hygiene Kits consisting of:
