5 Things: Snow, Ice and Diapers?
Here's what's good in Bedford headed into this early February weekend.

1. Snow today, gone tomorrow? The National Weather Service(NWS) forecasts a partly cloudy morning with snow flurries developing late in the afternoon. Today's high temperature is predicted at 30 degrees with a 30-percent chance of snow.
2. Get iced! Only two days left as the The Bedford Village Inn continues to host its third-annual Svedka Ice Bar, which is scheduled to be open nightly, from 5:30-10 p.m., through Saturday, Feb. 2. Enjoy carefully crafted ice sculptures, live music, great company, hot food and cool drinks at this once-a-year event. 3. Diaper dandies. The Mall of New Hampshire prepares to host its 1ST Annual Diaper Derby on Saturday Feb. 16. The event, open to all crawlers under the age of 12 months who aren't yet walking, is limited to the first 100 registered babies. Registration is open now through 8:45 a.m. on the day of the event. Those wishing to pre-register may do so at the Guest Services booth located in Center Court of the mall.

4. Grand Master in Bedford! Bedford ATA hosts a meet and greet with the head of the American Taekwondo Association tonight, from 6:30-7. Grand Master In Ho Lee is a 9th Degree Black Belt and is the third person to head up the ATA. Grand Master Lee is well known for his dedication to training and physical fitness. He has been a champion of The President’s Challengefitness program, and encourages all ATA members to continually improve their level of fitness. This is his first visit to New England as Grand Master.
5. ATA Winter Taekwondo Championship. Come see more than 500 competitors from across the country as they compete in forms, sparring and creative competitions at the 2013 New England Winter Taekwondo Championships, hosted by ATA Martial Arts of Bedford. The competition will take place at Southern New Hampshire University from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.
