Looking for a winter warmup? Thing again.

1. Brrrrrrrrrrrr ... Hoping Mother Nature will bring warmer temperatures today? Well, you'll have to wait until tomorrow. The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts abundant sunshine today, with a high temperature of 17 degrees, however dangerous sub-zero wind chills are likely to approach -25 degrees with gusts up to 20 mph. The forecasted low today is -7 with a 0-percent chance of snow.

2. It's only days away! The most wonderful time of the year may have just passed, but that was 2012. This is 2013 and the Bedford Village Inn is prepared to bring more joy to town when it hosts its third-annual Svedka Ice Bar, which is scheduled to be open nightly, from 5:30-10 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29 through Saturday, Feb. 2. Enjoy carefully crafted ice sculptures, live music, great company, hot food and cool drinks at this once-a-year event.
