1. Raul Vides, 33, with no known address, faces up to 76 years in prison after he allegedly assaulted two police officers and attempted to kidnap a woman and her two-year-old child on June 26 in Rochester. (Seacoast Current)
2. A Special Election was held on Tuesday, September 7, to fill a seat left by State Rep. David Danielson (R), who died in May. Candidates Linda Rea Camarota and Catherine A. Rombeau were vying for the open seat. (Bedford Patch)
3. A missing dog that was hit by a car on Thursday was found by a hiker in the woods off of Joppa Hill Road in Goffstown. The injured dog, named Sophie, was rescued by firefighters thanks to the observant hiker. (WMUR)
4. Defense contractor BAE Systems is immediately looking to hire 800 engineers and 100 scientists at their new Manchester location. The newly renovated building on Goffs Falls Road opened in May. BAE Systems employs about 6,000 people in New Hampshire, which includes their electronic systems headquarters in Nashua. (Union Leader)
