Here are the top stories today in Bedford:
- Bedford High School male students are accused of taking inappropriate pictures of female students without their knowledge, creating trading cards, and circulating and sharing the images online and in school, according to a report. The male students also reportedly assigned a "grade" to rate the girls with their names. A BHS student interviewed by NBC10 Boston said the incident was "disgusting." In an email Thursday, Bedford High Principal Bob Jozokos called the behavior of the students "absolutely inappropriate." Bedford Superintendent Michael Fournier was also interviewed about the incident by WMUR. (Bedford Patch)
- A shoutout to everyone who attended the Bedford Police and Fire Department Open House on Wednesday. This year's open house was a big success thanks to the outpouring of support from our community. The BPD and BFD thanked everyone who "helped make it a wonderful evening," with special thanks to: "Bibiana & Jerelyn from McHugh Funeral Home for their generous raffle donations; Manessa from Card My Yard Bedford; Chief Paul Poirier for the Copsicle ICE CREAM Trucks; Hannaford & Market Basket for the ice cream donations; NH Fish and Game; and NH State Liquor Enforcement." - Join in the fun and try a new board game at the new Game Club for Adults at the Bedford Library on Monday, Sept. 25. All adults are invited to play a variety of board games and/or card games twice a month. The Game Club meets in the McAllaster Room from 5:15-8:15 p.m. No experience is necessary! "Games will be provided, but you are welcome to bring a favorite to share." Find out more and register here: (The Bedford Public Library)
