Bedford And Manchester Fire Launching Boats For Possible Rescue

UPDATE: "Good Intent" call. Fire departments on scene say no people are in the water, potentially abandoned boat that floated downriver

BEDFORD, NH - Bedford Fire, and Manchester Fire are responding to the Merrimack River in the area of the 293 bridge.

On October 19, 2020 just before 1:00 pm a caller traveling North on 293 reported seeing a capsized canoe, and did not see any people.

Manchester Fire is sending crews with boats to the Manchester side of the river, and Bedford Fire is launching boats from the Bedford side.

AMR ambulance is standing by on the Manchester side of the river.\
