Chief Reveals Additional Details in Violent Attack

Dozens of residents gather for safety and security session at Bedford High School.

Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski, speaking to dozens of Bedford residents at a community meeting at Bedford High School tonight, expressed confidence that investigators from Bedford and New Hampshire State Police will identify, arrest and prosecute the individual or individuals involved in the violent assault that has left a Bedford doctor hospitalized with serious head injuries.

Bryfonski revealed that the investigation now indicates that the suspect, who had previously been described as a roughly 6-foot-tall male who was wearing a black mask and dark coat at the time of the attack, is also likely "dark skinned."

In addition, Bryfonski said investigators have compiled a "veritable mountain of evidence" indicating that the attacker came from outside the household and met Eduardo and Sonia Quesada when they returned home.
