BEDFORD, NH —Police are looking for the public's help in identifying a woman suspected of being involved in several fraudulent bank transactions in the Bedford area. The woman fled from police in a silver Dodge Caravan on Thursday. Bedford police say she is suspected of being involved with multiple stolen documents and car break-ins that had occurred in Manchester.

Bedford police responded to Members First Credit Union on Bedford Center Road around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, after getting a report of suspicious activity there. The suspect reportedly tried to withdraw money using a stolen ID card, according to police.

When officers arrived, the woman fled from police, running a red light at the intersection of Route 101 and Wallace Road and continuing to drive recklessly, police say. For safety reasons, officers abandoned their efforts to pursue her.

The investigation behind the incident ensued, and police are suspecting that Thursday's incident was connected with multiple similar incidents involving a suspect using stolen checks, driver's licenses and vehicle registration plates, Bedford police say. Police believe these items had been stolen from car break-ins that had occurred in Gilford, Manchester and Tilton in recent weeks.

"This woman is connected to multiple serious felonies, including endangering the safety of everyone around her by attempting to elude officers investigating her crimes," said Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski. "I urge anyone who may know this individual to come forward and help us to identify her."
