Bedford Police Still Seeking Break in Home Invasion Investigation
Detectives combing through evidence.
It's been more than a week since a violent home invasion left a 52-year-old Bedford doctor hospitalized with life-threatening injuries and investigators continue to seek leads in the case, which has left many Bedford residents on guard.
Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski said today that there have been no notable developments to report since Friday's press conference when he and state police advised home owners to remain vigilant because the unidentified subject – who was described as roughly 6-feet tall with a dark coat and a black ski mask on the night of the attack – may still pose a threat to the public.
"There is nothing of significance to report," said Bryfonski. "Detectives from Bedford PD and the state police continue to follow up a number of investigative leads while forensic experts sift through evidence obtained over more than three days of examination at the crime scene."
