  1. Something to be proud of! The Bedford High School volleyball team placed 8th in the top ten regional high school volleyball rankings for Week 4 of 2021, according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association. (2021 AVCA/USA TODAY)
  2. If you love High School Football, you won't want to miss this weekend. The NHIAA Week 4schedule is full , and a little rivalry can bring out the best in teams. Goffstown (0-1) is scheduled to play Bedford (2-1) at a home game on Saturday. Goffstown coach Nick Hammond said after the layoff, the challenge for players is "quickly getting up to speed" against a quality team like Bedford. (The Union Leader)
  3. The SNHU Arena in Manchester will reopen next month after being closed for 18 months due to the pandemic. The SNHU Arena has many new events planned, from bull riding, and country music stars to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and the Harlem Globetrotters. Marketing director Elissa Young said they are excited to open the doors so people can come and enjoy the events. They are also hiring ticket sellers, security, and ushers. (The Union Leader)
  4. New Hampshire 'Fugitive of the Week' Lamar Linwood Clark, who is known to live in and around Manchester, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Oregon Thursday. Clark, 32, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Portland, Oregon, after attempting to escape by jumping off a rear balcony. Clark had been featured in Patch and other news outlets a day earlier. (U.S. Marshal Service)
  5. State police arrested Craig Sprowl from Dover in the hit-and-run death of retired Hudson police officer Donna Briggs, who was killed while riding her bicycle on Route 125 on Tuesday. Sprowl, 45, who has a lengthy criminal history has been charged with negligent homicide and conduct after an accident. (WMUR)
