Here are the top stories today in Bedford:

  1. David's Bridal in Bedford filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday. April 17—what does this mean for Bedford brides? Those who ordered dresses have nothing to worry about! David's Bridal shop said its Nashua location will remain open, so brides who ordered dresses will be able to pick up their gowns. David's Bridal stores in Concord and Portsmouth also closed. (Patch)
  2. A shoutout to Madeline Capodilupo, a paraprofessional in Bedford, and her father, Dr. Robert Capodilupo, also from Bedford, who ran for Boston Children's Hospital in the Boston Marathon on Monday. When father and daughter ran in the Snowflake Shuffle on Jan. 15, 2017, a runner collapsed on the side of the road during the race. Madeline, who was up ahead, called her father to let him know that "a runner was down." He helped save the man's life! The last time Robert Capodilupo ran a race with his daughter was when Madeline was 8 years old. She turned 23 on Marathon Monday. (WMUR Manchester)
  3. Stop by Chipotle in Bedford on Tuesday and support a good cause! Have dinner at Chipotle on Tuesday between 5 p.m.-9 p.m., and Chipotle will donate 33 percent of its sales to Bedford's Destination Imagination teams. The fundraising event will help pay for travel expenses for DI teams to attend the Global Finals competition. (Bedford School District via Facebook)
