Competing against 59 of the top high school wrestling teams in New England is no easy task, but at the well-known and highly-competitive Lowell Holiday Tournament, Bedford's grapplers held their own, placing in a couple weight classes and finishing in the top half of the tourney as a team. Senior Robert Bernard earned sixth place among 182-pounders and sophomore Matt Houston, who won the Bow Holiday tournament last month, finished eighth in the 195-pound weight class. Each competed in seven to eight matches over two days. The Bulldogs, 2-1 in dual meets, return home tonight and then travel to John Stark Regional High School in Weare for a meet this Friday, Jan. 4.
