Here are the top stories in Bedford today:
- A bullet struck a home on Pulpit Road Thursday. Bedford police are asking for the public’s help to find out how and why a small caliber bullet was fired at the home, and if it was a stray bullet or intentional. Police were sent to the residence around 2:45 p.m. Chief John J. Bryfonski of the Bedford Police Department said they did not know the reason for the shooting. (Bedford Patch)
- In the spirit of cooperation, New Hampshire lawmakers sent the governor a bipartisan $15.2 billion state budget. Republican Gov. Chris Sununu said he would sign it. It was the first time in decades that lawmakers agreed on a budget without having House and Senate negotiators work out a compromise. Laurie Sanborn, a Republican from Bedford noted, “Something that both parties can promote as a win for the state of New Hampshire.” (NECN)
- A shoutout to Bedford senior Aidan O'Connell who was named the Gatorade New Hampshire baseball player of the year. A dual champion athlete in baseball and basketball, he was part of the Championship team. A left-handed pitcher with a 3.9 GPA, the Gatorade NH baseball player of the year said he's committed to pitching at Northwestern. His goal is to play in the big leagues. Congratulations!
