Camp Allen to Host Third-Annual Comedy Night

Three well known Boston comedians headline the event.

Those looking for laughs don't have to travel far to find some quality humor close to home.

Camp Allen is hosting it's third-annual Night of Comedy on Oct, 11, at The Yard restaurant in Manchester, and the event offers the opportunity to benefit a great cause.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cash bar, appetizers (restaurant menu available), raffles and auctions, including the opportunity to win items such as tickets from Southwest Airlines along with Park Hopper passes for Walt Disney World, sports memorabilia, a New Hampshire getaway package and a five-day stay in Kennebunkport, ME.

The comedy show begins at 8 p.m. and features Boston comedians, Robbie Printz, who is emceeing the evening, as well as Rob Steen and Jody Sloane.  

Printz, voted Best Comedian in Boston by the Improper Bostonian has been a professional stand-up comedian for 25 years. He has performed for NBC, A&E, MTV, and Comedy Central. His delivery is fast paced and keeps his audience laughing from start to finish.

Steen has been doing comedy for 18 years and is a frequent guest on the Late Show with David Letterman. He has been compared to Robin Williams due to his fast paced delivery and quick wit.  Steen will keep you on your toes and laughing non-stop.

For the past 13 years, Sloane has honed her skills as a “sit down” comic working as a “conducktor” for the Boston Duck Tours.  Her tour guide persona, Penny Wise, is a tongue in cheek and saucy southern belle.  Sloane has been named a finalist in the Funniest Comic in New Hampshire.

Camp Allen provides opportunities for growth, friendship, and fun for children and adults with intellectual and/or physical challenges in an outdoor environment.
