Candia Man Accused Of Fatally Injuring Manchester Man In Hit & Run

MANCHESTER, NH —

Manchester police have located and arrested a Candia man accused of fatally injuring a 71-year-old during a hit-and-run accident in the Queen City last week.

Manchester Fire and AMR were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle striking a bicycle on July 3. On arrival, they found the man who was riding the bike with severe head injuries and activated a trauma alert at the Elliot Hospital, where he later succumbed to injuries from the accident.

Police located the vehicle last week and, during the investigation, identified the driver as Stanley Richardson, 59, of Candia, who turned himself in to Manchester police this week. He is accused of felony conduct after an accident resulting in injury or death.

Richardson is being held on preventative detention pending a court hearing.
