Plot Costs on the Rise in Bedford
Bedford Cemetery prices increased immediately.

Bedford Cemetery fees are on the rise after Bedford Town Councilors received no opposition to the change during a public hearing at their regularly scheduled Wednesday night meeting.
John Wood, Chairman of the Bedford Cemetery Trustees, explained to the council and those in attendance that the fees have not increased since the town began using plots at the Bedford Center Cemetery, located on Church Street, in 2003. Raising plot costs from $600 to $750, he added, brings Bedford more in line with surrounding communities, including Manchester, which charges $1,100 a plot.
After seeking and receiving no public comment, councilors voted unanimously to approve the increase, which vice chairman Chris Bandazian explained is effective immediately.
