Bedford Coca-Cola Employee ID'd As Having COVID-19 Virus

A Massachusetts man who works for the company in Beford has been identified as the employee who was diagnosed with the new coronavirus.

BEDFORD, NH — A Bedford-based employee of Coca-Cola Northeast has a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 virus. According to Nick Martin, the director of public affairs for the company, the employee is receiving proper medical care and is the first and only confirmed case Coca-Cola Northeast is aware of. The company is taking all necessary precautions to protect the health and safety of their workforce, he said.

On Wednesday, information that there was an employee with a confirmed case of COVID-19 worked at 1 Executive Park in Bedford, and had been in the building as recent as March 6.

According to Martin, upon learning of the suspected case, the human resource department worked swiftly with the associate to identify potential other exposures. All potentially affected individuals have been notified, he said. Those potentially exposed will adhere to the guidance from public heal agencies.

On Wednesday, the state of New Hampshire was not aware of the employee who had tested positive. Our sources confirmed that the employee was tested in Massachusetts, and the state of New Hampshire is now aware. The state of New Hampshire confirmed that the employee lives in Massachusetts and was tested there.

Several companies are in the building located at 1 Executive Park, but this is the only confirmed diagnosis.
