Coronavirus Hits Hillsborough County Nursing Home

The Hillsborough County Nursing Home has been hit with several positive COVID-19 cases including 30 residents and 5 staff.

GOFFSTOWN, NH — The Hillsborough County Nursing Home one week ago was part of the group of of long-term health care facilities which had escaped the Coronavirus.

Over the weekend a "cluster" outbreak has hit the nursing home facility. Thirty residents were identified as testing positive with COVID-19 and five staff members.

Tuesday the National Guard and the New Hampshire MMRS Medical Task Force arrived at the facility to test all residents and staff members.

The State of NH now immediately sends specialized testing teams when a "cluster" is identified at a residential facility.

Hillsborough County Nursing home has 290 residents, and 400 members on their staff. The teams who arrived on site have now tested all residents and will continue to test the staff members before they return to work.

No deaths at the Goffstown facility have been associated with COVID-19 at this time. All residents who have tested positive are being given the proper treatment and isolated from the rest of the residents.
