Cory Booker Traveling To NH Amid 2020 Presidential Decision

New Jersey Senator Cory Booker, who said he's exploring a run for president, will headline a New Hampshire Democratic Party rally.

MANCHESTER, NH -- U.S. Sen. Cory Booker will appear in New Hampshire next week after saying he's considering a run for president in 2020. Booker, a New Jersey Democrat, will appear at the New Hampshire Democratic Party's midterm election "victory celebration" on Sat., Dec. 8. Booker also visited New Hampshire in October to campaign for Democrats ahead of the midterms.

"I will consider running for president," Booker told NJ.com over the weekend. "There's people in New Jersey who are talking to me about it, across the country that are talking to me about it."

New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley said the party is "thrilled" for Booker's visit.

"New Hampshire Democrats worked tirelessly to turn out the vote that delivered Democratic majorities in the US House, Executive Council, State Senate, and State House," Buckley said in a statement. "Senator Booker has been incredibly supportive in these efforts, and we are grateful he will be returning to New Hampshire to join our celebration.”

Democrats won big in New Hampshire on Election Day. The party retook majorities in the House, Senate and Executive Council. Democrats also won both of the state's congressional seats. The blue wave stopped short of the corner office, however, as Republican Gov. Chris Sununu was re-elected.

During an October visit to the University of New Hampshire, Booker called the midterms a "moral moment for America."

Saturday's Democratic victory party will be held at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester at 2:30 p.m.
