- The Bishop's Charitable Assistance Fund is offering grants to New Hampshire organizations to help people meet their basic needs. Qualified organizations that meet the grant guidelines are asked to submit an application no later than Sept. 15. (Press Release Desk)
- Bedford state senator Denise Ricciardi (R) of Bedford endorsed Victoria Sullivan in her mayoral bid for the Corner Office in Manchester. Ricciardi is the second state senator to endorse Sullivan. (Manchester Ink Link)
- A COVID-19 outbreak in Bedford schools prompted officials to require universal masking in those schools to prevent transmission to students and teachers. Bedford Superintendent Mike Fournier said that the Bedford School reopening plan requires universal masking for 14 days when an outbreak occurs. Masking remains optional at the district’s other schools. They are monitoring the situation closely, he said. (The Union Leader)
- In a Bedford Special Election, Democrat and former Bedford Town Councilor Catherine Rombeau edged out Republican former state Rep. Linda Rea Camarota, filling an open seat left by the recent death of GOP Rep. David Danielson. The close win, that may prompt a ballot recount, narrowed the Republican majority in the New Hampshire House by one. (New Hampshire Public Radio)
- New Hampshire Native Melissa Davis opened a new hair salon on Colby Court in Bedford called the Blo Blow Dry Bar. The salon washes your hair and provides blow-drying for style and volume. They also offer makeup services. (Bedford Patch)
