A release from Shea-Porter states the following:

As someone who paid her way through college by working on a factory floor, Congresswoman Shea-Porter knows firsthand just how crucial the American manufacturing industry is.  She is a founding member of Make it in America, a working group aimed at supporting manufacturing and encouraging companies to create good jobs in the U.S.A., and she has consistently supported legislation meant to revitalize the American manufacturing industry, grow the economy, and create high-wage jobs.  In April, Shea-Porter introduced the Buy American Accountability Act, legislation that would support U.S. manufacturing by ensuring government compliance with the Buy American Act of 1933.

Last week, Shea-Porter toured FoodState Inc., a Derry-based manufacturer and distributor of whole food nutritional supplements. On the tour, she spoke with company leaders about how to grow the American manufacturing sector and support high-skill, high-wage jobs in New Hampshire.
