Driver Seriously Injured In Bedford Crash At Route 101 and Route 114

Police say a Nissan Pathfinder left the road and was heavily damaged. Firefighters extricated the person and rushed him to the hospital.

BEDFORD, NH — Bedford Fire and police responded to the area of Route 101 and 114 Sunday night for a report of an accident.

Responders arrived at a single-vehicle accident at 11:09 p.m. Officers located a Nissan Pathfinder SUV off the roadway and into the woods with significant damage. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was extricated by Bedford firefighters and transported to a local hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries. Police are not releasing the driver's name at this time.

The initial cause of the accident appears to be speed-related, according to Bedford Police, and the accident remains under investigation.
