Educate Yourself on Bedford's Past

Today also marks the 50-year anniversary of an iconic American speech.

2. No mystery about Bedford's History. Stop by the Bedford Historical Society Museum today or any other Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to noon, for a weekly open house. Have some of your questions about Bedford's history answered and take the opportunity to purchase Bedford's own Stevens-Buswell CQ Coffee, some Bedford books, pewter ornaments and/or handmade pin creations by Dizzy Cupcakes. Information is also available pertaining to some of the Historical Society's upcoming events such as the third-annual  "Anything and Everything Yard Sale" on Sept. 28.

4. So long ago, and yet far too recent. 50 years ago today, Martin Luther King Jr. gave his infamous "I Have A Dream Speech in Washington D.C. Today, communities around the state will honor the legacy of King in a variety of ways. Check out the events calendar on the NH Humanities Council website for more information on events near Merrimack.
