  1. What happens when residents leave units empty? Property management companies say anything can happen — from frozen water pipes to other unexpected problems that could impact an empty unit and others in the building. Bruno Bartoli, director of management services for Evergreen Management in Bedford, New Hampshire, advised owners to make sure the management company has their current contact information in case of an emergency, and to leave a key with a friend or neighbor. (Cooperator News)
  2. Celebrate the Bedford Memorial Day Hometown Parade! It starts at the driveway of Bedford High School and continues down County Road, then up to Liberty Hill Road. The parade ends at McKelvie Intermediate School where the celebration continues with a variety of vendors on the school grounds "ready to serve refreshments." (WMUR Manchester)
  3. The Bedford Charter Commission is offering two public hearings for residents to provide feedback on the Town budget. The public hearings will be at regular meetings on May 31, at 7 p.m. and June 21, at 6 p.m. Bedford residents are invited to share their views! (Bedford Patch)
  4. The Bedford Public Library will be closed on Sunday and Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Remember, when the library is closed, you "can visit BedfordNHLibrary.org and use the 'improved eLibrary 24/7.'" (Bedford (NH) Public Library via Facebook)
