Here are the top stories today in Bedford:

  1. A fecal bacteria beach swimming advisory was issued for North Hampton State Park & Beach and three other NH beaches on Sunday. A yellow sign warned beachgoers of dangerously high levels of fecal contamination in the water. Swimming and wading were not recommended and the notice warned not to drink the water. Sewage can overflow into the ocean from floodwater runoff causing dangerously high bacteria levels, environmental officials said. Despite the advisory, many beachgoers were in the ocean and "didn't seem to be worried." (WMUR)
  2. "Dusty Old Car" dealer Stephan Condodemetraky pleaded guilty to felony theft charges for stealing over $266,000 from three victims. The Bedford resident is accused of not paying customers the full sale price of consigned classic cars and keeping the profits. Condodemetraky was sentenced to 1-1/2 to 5 years in the New Hampshire State Prison and was ordered to pay $391,000 to victims of the scheme, according to court records. (In Depth NH)
  3. A shout out to Bedford Conservation Planner Kathleen Ports for the completion of a new scenic Bedford trail. Kathleen Ports shared the unique features of the Hollow Fairy House Trail with a local BCTV crew. Hear what she said about the new trial here: (Bedford (NH) Community Television via Facebook)
