The Friendly Toast Opens New Restaurant In Bedford

BEDFORD, NH — The Friendly Toast restaurant, known for its creative meals and eclectic atmosphere, has opened a new location on Main Street in Bedford. Located next to Trader Joe's, it features all-day breakfast, a spacious outdoor patio, vintage art décor and a full bar. The Bedford Friendly Toast is the restaurant's second location in New Hampshire — the other is its original restaurant in downtown Portsmouth. It is also the Friendly Toast's sixth location in New England.

"We are really excited to expand our footprint in New England and to bring The Friendly Toast experience to Bedford," said Eric Goodwin, the restaurant's co-owner, in a statement. "We offer delicious food and drinks with a vibrant dining atmosphere, with exceptional service and is the perfect place for friends and family to eat and socialize while enjoying one-of-a-kind dishes and more."

Bedford's new Friendly Toast spans about 3,600 square feet. It can accomodate 120 guests in the dining and bar area, and 30 guests on the outdoor patio. On the outside, the restaurant has colorful patio furniture and lawn games. On the inside, it has bright green walls packed with vintage art, natural light from oversized windows, a horeseshoe bar with several televisions and a giant ice cream sundae statue. Its one-of-a-kind décor includes dog portraits, music legend profiles, and cross-stitch art.

More than 70 items are featured on the Friendly Toast's menu, including signature favorites like chicken and waffles, JD's Taco After Party and Hash Quiche, and seasonal specialties like the Summertime Breakfast Ramen, Lobocado Toast and Pork Belly Banh Mi. Its weekly specials feature dishes that reflect the holidays and the seasons, and that showcase locally sourced ingredients.

Funky cocktail creations can be found at the Friendly Toast's full bar, with cocktail varieties like the "Dreamsicle" and the "Dirty Blonde," as well as mimosas and bloody marys. Some of the popular drinks include the Arnold Pama and the Bacon Bloody Mary. The spring and summer drink menu will include Margarita and Tiki Flights to match the "insanely popular" Mimosa and Bloody Mary Flights, according to a statement from the Friendly Toast.
