Goffstown Coronavirus: SAU 19 Employee Tests Positive

School Superintendent Brian Balke has issued a letter confirming an employee of SAU19 has tested positive for the new coronavirus.

GOFFSTOWN, NH — Goffstown SAU19 has been notified by state officials that a staff member in the community has been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19. The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (NH DHHS) is conducting a contact investigation and any person who is identified as a close contact to this person will be notified directly by NH DHHS. Anyone who is not directly notified is considered at low risk and should monitor (self-observe) their health for fever or respiratory illness. Instructions for self-observing for illness are available from NH DHHS below.

This individual has not been on campus since last Friday.

In a letter to parents, employees and parents Superintendent Brian Balke said, "At this time, this is the only information I am able to share. I’m sorry that I can’t disclose what school this is impacting per DHHS guidance. I do not want to create any undue stress on anyone and in all likelihood, we will continue to experience more positive cases in New Hampshire."
