Hooksett Police Investigating An Assault With A Weapon

One male struck the victim in the head with a gun and punched. The unidentified suspects attempted to force the victim into his home.

HOOKSETT, NH — At approximately 4:45 a.m. on Feb. 18 in nearby Hooksett, police were called to Julia Drive for the report of an assault that had just occurred. The victim, a 31-year-old man told police he exited his home a few minutes prior and was confronted by two men — one of which was carrying a long gun, similar to an assault weapon. One male struck the victim in the head with the gun and also punched him. The unidentified suspects attempted to force the victim into his home.

The victim was able to flee the area and call police.

One suspect was described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic man. The second man covered his face. They are believed to have been driving a light colored SUV, similar to a Toyota RAV4. The victim was taken to a local hospital, treated and released. Video surveillance did capture the assault and has been provided to the police.

While it is unknown if this was a random attack, it does appear from the video that the suspects targeted that specific home, according to police. Hooksett officers will be increasing patrols in the area.
