Blizzard Info Center: 'Deplorable' Road Conditions Improving, Driving Still Discouraged

Here is what we know about the storm:

The snow has stopped, but high winds remain. Bedford Police sent out an advisory this morning asking residents to avoid 'deplorable' road conditions and only travel if absolutely necessary, and even then to use extreme caution. Though conditions are improving with the sun out in parts of Bedford and plow drivers working hard to clear roadways, Gov. Maggie Hassan issued a statement asking Granite Staters to continue to avoid driving, if they can.

All Bedford public schools were closed on Friday, Feb. 8.

Bedford PTG Barnes & Noble Book Fair Postponed. A note from Bedford High School Principal William Hagen: We are going to get hit hard with snow beginning Friday and into the weekend and it will make it very difficult to travel. The PTG Barnes and Noble Book Fair has been reschedule to NEXT weekend Friday February 15th & Saturday February 16th.

Father/Daughter Dance Rescheduled. From the Riddle Brook School Twitter Feed: Due to the impending snowstorm, we have decided to cancel the Father/Daughter Dance for tomorrow. However, we have rescheduled it for Friday, March 8th (same time). Fortunately, the DJ is available that night. Tickets will go home the week of March 4th.

Opening of Citizens Bank Presents Dinosaurs! postponed ... until Sunday Feb. 10h. Both the SEE Science Center and Citizens Bank Presents Dinosaurs! will be closed Saturday Feb. 9.
