Justin Moura Pleads Guilty In Fatal Shooting

MANCHESTER, NH — Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald announced Tuesday that Justin Moura, age 35, pleaded guilty and was sentenced by the Hillsborough County Superior Court for killing Tanya Hall, age 34, in Manchester. Moura had been charged with second-degree murder for recklessly causing Hall’s death under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by shooting her, an incident that occurred on March 2, 2019, in the area of Old Granite Street in Manchester.

Moura pleaded guilty to manslaughter for recklessly causing Hall’s death by shooting her. For that conviction, Moura was sentenced to 12 years to 24 years in the New Hampshire State Prison, with three years suspended if he commits no violent crimes in two years and another year suspended if he obtains his Associate’s Degree.

As part of Moura’s plea, he waived his right to apply for a sentence suspension upon completion of two-thirds of his sentence.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley and Attorney Shane Goudas, and was investigated by the Manchester Police Department.
