Here are the top stories today in Bedford:
- A shoutout to the Mack brothers of Bedford High who won the NHIAA boys' doubles tennis championship on June 8 at Southern New Hampshire University. Lucas, a senior, and Logan, a junior, were at first uncertain about being doubles partners, but the brothers won 8-0 and 8-3 in the first two rounds, "breezing into the doubles tournament semifinals." Bedford proud! (Yahoo News)
- Traffic backed up on the Everett Turnpike Monday morning when a tractor-trailer rolled over after colliding with a pickup truck at Exit 2 in the northbound lane. Nashua Fire Rescue and AMR ambulance responded to the 9:15 a.m. accident and called the NFR special hazards unit for fluid leaking from the tractor-trailer. Both drivers refused medical care. (Patch by Jeffrey Hastings)
- The first week of camp "flew by" and there's only one spot left for next week’s Farm and Forest camp at the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill. The Farm just found out the chicks are on their way and will be arriving Friday. Register your camper for that last spot and "one-on-one feather-loving snuggle time with the new babies." It's also Alpaca Week! Register and find out more here: (The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill)
