Man Burned And Firefighter Injured In 2-Alarm Manchester Fire
A Manchester 6-unit multi-family building was heavily damaged in an early morning fire Saturday on Bridge Street.
MANCHESTER, NH — MFD received multiple calls for heavy fire at 132 Bridge St. at 3 a.m. On their arrival, they had an occupied 6 unit multi-family building with heavy fire in the front of the building.
Fire crews worked to get everyone out of the building and had a male with serious burns from a first-floor apartment. AMR crews rushed the man to the Elliot for treatment.
District Chief Dave Patten called for a second alarm and an additional AMR ambulance to the scene.

Fire crews were hampered by multiple power lines and large trees in the area, limiting the use of ladder trucks.
A firefighter was injured after the fire was brought under control and transported to CMC with unknown injuries.

The fire is now under control with extensive damage throughout the structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation by MFD Fire Investigators.
