Man Faces Multiple Charges After Police Say He Crashed Into Building
Brenden Lathrop, 24, of no fixed address, is accused of driving a vehicle into an empty building, causing significant structural damage.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua police have arrested a 24-year-old after investigating a vehicle that crashed into a building at the corner of Main and Lake Streets Saturday.
Nashua Fire Rescue, AMR, and Nashua Police responded to a report of a vehicle that struck the building. While en route, dispatch advised that the vehicle had struck the building “repeatedly” and caused significant structural damage. Crews arrived at 12:44 p.m. and found a vehicle into a building, a closed restaurant at 303 Main St.
Officers contacted Brenden Lathrop, 24, of no fixed address, the vehicle operator that crashed into the building. Lathrop was arrested on scene by patrol officers and accused of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle, driving or operating under the influence of drugs or liquor, operating without a valid license, reckless operation, and transporting alcoholic beverages.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division were assigned to further the investigation. Detectives conducted witness interviews and obtained video surveillance of the incident. Based on their investigation, detectives established Lathrop was charged with the above-listed crimes, according to Nashua Police Sergeant John Cineli.
Lathrop was held on a $300 cash bail and held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections until his arraigned at the 9th Circuit – District Division – Nashua Court on Monday.
