Manchester Police Investigating Deceased Woman Found Near Parking Lot

Detectives worked in the area of Auburn and Lincoln Streets, processing evidence where a partially clothed woman was found dead on Sunday.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police are investigating the discovery of a deceased woman found near a parking lot and Little League field in the vicinity of Auburn and Lincoln streets on Sunday

Manchester Fire and AMR ambulance were dispatched to the area just before 8 a.m. for an unresponsive person and possible overdose. When responders arrived, they requested for police to respond and said the person was deceased. Police cordoned off a large area with crime scene tape surrounding several vehicles in the parking lot. The body of a partially clothed woman could be seen in the area of a fence that surrounds a local little league field.

Detectives placed evidence markers around several items, including clothing, shoes, and other personal items. Photographs were taken of the items, and they were placed in brown paper bags to be used for evidence collection.

The office of the New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner was notified and responded to the scene. At about 11:45 a.m., the body of the woman was removed by a local funeral home and transported to Concord for an autopsy, according to MPD Lt. Matthew Barter.

After the woman was removed from the scene, the crime scene tape was removed, and all officers cleared the area.
