Manchester Man Killed By Gunshot Wound To The Chest

Manchester Police investigated a fatal shooting which has been ruled a homicide

MANCHESTER, NH — A Manchester man was killed in a shooting on Thursday on Brockton Street on Manchester's Westside. Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald and Manchester Police Chief Carlo T. Capano, in a joint news release, announced that an autopsy was conducted on Alan Beliveau, 59, of Manchester, who was found deceased following a shooting at a residence on Brockton Street in Manchester on April 16.

New Hampshire Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval has determined the cause of Beliveau’s death is a gunshot wound to the chest. The manner of his death is homicide. As used by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, homicide is defined as the killing of one person by another.

The Manchester Police Department has identified all of the involved parties in the shooting and is actively investigating the incident — including the potential of a self-defense claim.
