Manchester Police Detectives Investigating Suspicious Death Downtown

Police and EMS responded to a Hanover Street address at 2 a.m. Thursday; NH AG's office says the incident is a suspicious death.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police and the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office are investigating what they are referring to as a suspicious death in Manchester on Thursday.

Police and AMR ambulance were dispatched to 297 Hanover St. at 2:06 a.m. after the ambulance arrived at the scene, they said a person was deceased.

Manchester police officers secured the entrances of a multi-unit apartment building directly across from the New Hampshire Employment Security Office.

Detectives were at the scene interviewing people in the area. One woman, who arrived at about 7 a.m., became very emotional immediately after police spoke to her outside the building. A person from the New Hampshire Office of the Medical Examiners Office arrived at the scene at 7:15 a.m. and could be seen speaking to police outside of the building.

At this time, this is an active investigation, and there is no information on the deceased person.
