Dense Fog, High Wind Advisory in Effect for NH

A dense fog advisory is in effect for Bedford and surrounding communities through 2 p.m. Wednesday, and the National Weather Service has declared a high wind watch beginning at 6 p.m. and running through early Thursday morning.

That means winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts between 50 and 60 mph possible late night and into Thursday morning.

Winds that strong are capable of knocking down trees and branches, as well as power lines.

The National Weather Service recommends people stay indoors and away from windows. Motorists are advised to slow down and be on the watch for objects that may either blow down or into the roadway.

Homeowners are advised to secure any loose outdoor items.
