1. Eligible residents who installed a point-of-entry treatment (POET) system for a PFAS contaminated drinking well can a one-time rebate of up to $5,000, the company said in a news release. Applicants approved for the rebate will also be eligible to be included in its future POET maintenance program. (Bedford Patch)
2. Rand Pecknold of Bedford will be awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award at the 2023 USA Hockey's Annual Meeting. Award-winners will be honored during USA Hockey's Annual meeting from June 7-10 in Denver. USA Hockey's national governing body meets at the Annual Meeting to "conduct the business of the national governing body and celebrate accomplishment." Congratulations! (USA Hockey)
3. For National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) week, the Bedford Fire Department is celebrating Bedford Emergency Medical Service providers. In a social media post, the BFD said, "Integrity — Is what you do when no one is watching." They added, "The community doesn’t see you attend off-duty classes and training, they don’t see you scrubbing the back of the ambulance..." or the long hours and many other heroic things EMS providers do every day.
