New Boston Man Charged With Felony Criminal Threatening

Bedford, NH Police charged a man with felony criminal threatening with a deadly weapon after an alleged incident with a motorist

BEDFORD, NH - Bedford police charged Brandon Blanchette, 21 of New Boston with a felony charge of Criminal Threatening with a Deadly Weapon.

According to BPD Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department arrested the man for criminal threatening with a deadly weapon following an incident earlier this month.

On Sunday, April 19 at approximately 7:45 p.m., Bedford Police were called to the area of Route 101 and Old Bedford Road for a report of a man displaying a firearm at a motorist. The victim reported he had been stopped at a red right when a white Toyota Corolla stopped next to him in the left turn lane.

When the victim looked over, he noticed a man in the passenger seat, later identified as Blanchette , pointing a firearm at the victim. The car then sped off, turning left onto Old Bedford Road. The victim immediately notified the Bedford Police, who then began an investigation into the incident.

On Monday, April 27, Blanchette was arrested on a warrant resulting from that investigation.

Blanchette was later released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear at the Hillsborough County Superior Court - North on June 11

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
