  1. A senior student created a petition seeking to expel Bedford NH High School boys who 'rated' girls' bodies after secretly taking inappropriate pictures of female students, making trading cards with their names and circulating the images in school and online. Some are calling for the male students to be removed from the high school after "causing irreparable harm" to the females and the school. In an email last week, the school's principal said the accused students are in danger of suspension, but petition author Kristen Caldwell said that "simply would not be enough to bring justice for the young women." In a statement released on Sept. 22, the Bedford Police Department said it "had not received any images, information, or evidence of a violation of New Hampshire law from any student, school staff, or parent." (Bedford Patch)
  2. Airplane flights and passengers in New Hampshire are facing "a serious threat" almost daily from blinding laser strikes — and "New Hampshire led the way with 142 reported incidents in 2022 at airports in Nashua, Manchester, and Merrimack," according to a MassLive analysis. Airports across New England were hit with 26 laser strikes, FAA data showed, with most happening at the Nashua Airport. The FAA opened an investigation after three Boston pilots said they’d been lit up by green lasers on approach to Logan Airport and Massachusetts General Hospital. Travel safely! (MassLive.com)
  3. Looking for a nearby pumpkin patch? Sunnycrest Farm and Mack's Apples, just a 15-minute ride away in Londonderry, were listed among New England's Top Pumpkin Patches for Festive Fall Fun by WOKQ. Sunnycrest Farm has been a family-run farm since 1943 with pick-your-own apples, a bakery and farmer's market. Mack's Apples is an award-winning "National Bicentennial Farm" that opened in 1732. Mack's offers pick-your-own apples, a farmer's market and an ice cream store. (WOKQ)
